Bring on the Challenge

TCD -Tackling social isolation in the Community through Diverse activities.

We are dedicated to transforming lives and breaking down barriers for people with mental health challenges through movement and wellbeing chats

About Us

Vision: A world where everyone feels connected, supported, and empowered regardless of mental health challenges through inclusive community and meaningful human connection.

Purpose: To reduce social isolation and improve mental wellbeing by bringing people together through diverse, community-based activities. Led by people with lived experience, we create safe, welcoming spaces for activities and peer-to-peer wellbeing chats, helping individuals build confidence, connection, and lasting support networks.

About Us: At TCD, we are a local charity rooted in our communities, dedicated to reducing social isolation and improving mental health through advocacy, awareness, and inclusive, creative action.

What makes us different is that our work is shaped by lived experience. Our team brings personal insight into mental health challenges, ensuring authenticity, empathy and understanding are at the heart of everything we do.

We create safe, welcoming spaces where people feel heard, supported, and empowered. A unique part of our approach is using a wide range of activities as a catalyst for peer-to-peer wellbeing conversations. These activities offer a relaxed, supportive environment where people can connect, talk, and build resilience together.

Through this blend of community, creativity and compassion, we’re tackling isolation, breaking down stigma, and building a culture where mental health is openly supported and prioritised

TCD Are Not a Crisis Service

At TCD, we provide community-based mental health support, advocacy, and awareness—but we are not a crisis service. While we are here to walk alongside you through difficult times, we are not equipped to respond to urgent or life-threatening situations.

If you or someone you care about is experiencing a mental health crisis, please don’t wait—help is available right now.

📞 Call NHS 111 and select option 2 to speak directly to a trained mental health professional, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

They can help with:
   •    Thoughts of suicide or self-harm
   •    Severe emotional distress
   •    Concern about someone else’s wellbeing
   •    Escalating mental health symptoms

Please reach out. You are not alone, and support is always within reach.
