TCD Community Voices Champions
At TCD, our volunteers proudly serve as Community Voices Champions — passionate advocates who help ensure that local people’s views, experiences, and ideas are heard and acted upon.
As part of the Community Voices Programme in Kirklees, our champions play a key role in strengthening the link between communities and decision-makers across health and care services. They listen to the people they represent, share insights from real lived experience, and bring forward the voices of those who may not always be heard.
Being a Community Voices Champion is about more than participation — it’s about empowerment, connection, and change. Our champions work alongside the local NHS, councils, and voluntary organisations to make sure that the design and delivery of services truly reflect the needs, values, and priorities of our diverse community.
At TCD, we are proud to see our volunteers making a tangible difference — building trust, promoting inclusion, and helping to shape a fairer, more responsive system for everyone. Their compassion, commitment, and understanding of local life are at the heart of what makes community engagement meaningful and effective.
